Life before was much happier in my opinion, people were much simpler, they were not on their cell phone all day... However, now all that has been lost, since the misuse of social networks, people spend a lot of time glued to the screens waiting for someone to tell them about their body, even if it turns out to be a lie.
What do you think about this?
For me it would be the time before tiktok that I prefer. I see members of my family literally addicted to it and it's honestly worrying. I think our society as a whole is going to suffer for it (it has already).

Thats true 🙁
Social Media has destroyed the internet. Well not only the internet, its a convenient way to spread misinformation, propaganda and exploit addictions.
What do you think Socrates or Aristotle would have done with what we have? I'm not suggesting they would have done anything better or worse, but think about it.
If we used the internet to fix problems and communicate across the globe to help humanity, it would be the best thing we have ever invented. Unfortunately, due to various factors - mainly power and greed (But also people wanting attention) - it has become a cesspool of everyone forgetting that nobody is perfect.
That picture or video you saw of this amazing life is a couple minutes out of millions. Why would you post a pic or video of yourself failing? For the lulz? Hell yeah. For "clout" .. go fuck yourself.
Its basically made everything easier and people dumber.
I feel like this - Yes, to be a child was nice and it was more outdoor playing. HOWEVER, it is your choice to do those things today.
I have a full time job, a side hustle, website to run and more - Yet, I still make time to disconnect from the phone with friends and enjoy pure nature. I love what life is today, because I can paint life how I want it to be.
I'm definitely nostlagic about the past, sometimes I try to disconnect and I put my phone on the table, I don't use it, and I do something else instead. Social medias have a huge impact, and I guess all of this started with Facebook and smartphones.
I follow lot of accounts on Instagram that helps you to realize that you waste your time, they put stories / videos that tell you to stop this shitty dopamine shot all day long. Sometimes I even go outside and walk, just to re-connect to the real world, no music, no earphones, not looking my smartphone, just walking outside.

Before, I hate how social media impacted us.
Social media has definitely been a blessing and a curse
I want nothing more than to be a child again, where I have no responsibilities and no care in the world thats the lifestyle I want. You get to enjoy everything and sure you will be wining half the time but, you do not realize it

That has always been a thing even in the past. It's just different media forms now. In the past we didn't get things right to our finger tips but it looks like every year this keeps getting aster and quicker and easier than previous years. Technology is for sure closing a ton o gaps in our lives. However, it could be for both good and bad.
Yes. Life was always simpler in the past. That's what everyone wishes at all times. But we can't go to the past. I bet in 20 years time. People would be saying 2024 were simpler times.
It’s difficult to see people you care about get so brainwashed by social media. So many people I once called my mate are just so wound up in politics and having opinions informed purely by what they saw on Instagram reels or TikTok.
I also feel like since covid common courtesy is dead. People in public/driving are so rude.
both
the lifestyle now is living in the age of AI but the past was very good as well
