A compelling reason why anime is often considered better than manga is the immersive experience that animation, music, and voice acting provide. In anime, visual elements come alive, and the emotions of the characters are amplified by the voices of the voice actors, as well as by music and sound effects. This creates a deeper emotional connection to the story, as viewers directly experience the mood and dynamics of the events.

Additionally, animation and the kinetic representation of action scenes allow for a visual intensity that is often only suggested in manga. The rhythm and movement in anime make dramatic moments more powerful and captivating, enabling viewers to dive deeply into the story.

Personally, I prefer anime because of these immersive elements.

Manga.
Once you read a few, anime becomes hard to watch. Eventually when you recall yourself reading the manga or any novel, you wont remember the comic itself. It becomes animated in your head. Also some anime don't deliver the whole story.

Anime.

Visual digital media has always been a compelling medium for me in general. I think the sights, sounds, and motions make for a more compelling personal experience. While you may get more detail in a manga, I tend to value the overall experience more from anime.

Essentially, I'm echoing what Zalbai said.
