I have friends who have security cameras in main areas like living room, facing front door, maybe their kids room.
I find this to be pretty unsettling.
I have all four corners of my exterior covered plus the door. But the inside was never even a thought, especially my kids room.
Maybe im just paranoid.
Ya idk about that, they can get hacked easily.

Depends on your surrounding environment.
Makes sense if you're living in an unsafe area, or have people who visit that you don't trust.

Maybe theres some extra precautionary measure i am missing. But ive seen so much on exploits and places that sell access to hacked cameras.
It's made me not feel safe about it, but again i am sure there are measures not being taken like im proper setup/install.
I agree with plops that having internal cameras especially ones hooked up to the internet is very troubling.
Yeah absolutely will cause some paranoia. If I were to do it it would be based on a private network
I've got tons of cameras, and about 3 indoor ones. One for the garage, another for the living room, and another for the basement door. They are isolated on an IOT network along with downtime enabled on my network itself so they do NOT run while I'm at home. They basically kick on when im sleeping and when im out at work.
Nice to meet ya.
I don’t feel comfortable having cameras inside, so I only have one outside.

Never had kids that you wanted to monitor? Yeah, I've heard creepy stories of camera accounts that supposedly were hit by credential stuffing. You do want to be careful.

We used a baby monitor that had no internet or wifi connection when they had cribs.
After graduating to a regular bed I took it out. As they have gotten older, knowing that you have some sort of privacy is important. Theres no reason for me to keep tabs on them with a camera in their room. There is one outside, perpendicular to the windows to monitor that though.
I used to, I need to install them again. Right now I have an Amazon Astro and he rolls around patrolling the area.
I don't have any security cameras inside my house, as the only people I let in here are people that I trust.. but I do have multiple security cameras outside of my house, as nowadays can never be too safe.. plus they're priced cheap enough nowadays, that everyone should have cameras outside their house.
Indoors, fuck no.
Outdoors, yes definitely.
I would never have them inside the house, I'd just feel watched all the time.

My sister has one outside, my father in law has 4, agree there must only be outside, what is important to be watched in home?
