Hello,
I have some old Bitcoin Core wallet.dat files and about 1.2GB of blockchain data downloaded. I believe there may be Bitcoin in the wallet, but I’m unable to access it. Unfortunately, I accidentally overwrote the wallet file and will need assistance restoring my laptop (I have restore files available). The challenge is that I partitioned my hard drive years ago to install Bitcoin Core. I’ve attempted to use the restore files, but it hasn’t worked. If anyone can help me recover and access the wallet, I’m willing to offer 50% of what’s inside.

Far as I know, yes. NTFS (not NFTS) is not a program. It's the file-system partition type.

When you had the wallet created. Was the file system FAT32? I've done drive recoveries before, it can be tricky. One thing you should consider doing first is a full mirror of the drive. If possible buy the exact same drive and clone it with proper software. This potentially gives you a backup.

If that's a newer screenshot then it looks like you have the wallet.dat file intact.
So what's the problem?

i messed up and haven't touched it since 2021 as i didn't want to lose the chance to recover the wallet file if any bitcoins inside

Wait, from the recovery? You had the file then fucked it up without making a copy of the .dat file?
Now I get your dilemma. You can try recovery software because when a file is written it may not be on the same space of the drive even if it's the same file name.

Yes, I updated Bitcoin Core and I’m fairly certain I opened it before making a secure backup of the wallet.dat file. When Bitcoin Core opened, it likely overwrote the old file. Since then, I haven’t touched the files or the laptop. I have recovery files from before this happened, as I had to partition my backup HDD into my C drive to make more space for Bitcoin Core.
The recovery files should date back to after I first opened the wallet in 2013 but before I updated to the new Bitcoin Core version. I hope this makes sense.

1. Set Drive to READ only mode.
2. Clone Drive to an exact drive.
3. Run Recuva on it.
Likely the best you can do without professional help.
