Sometimes you have to make the modification on the control panel of your provider, otherwise if you have to make the modification on the concerned Linux server :
Code sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_configEdit the following : Code AllowUsers your_user@your_ip_addressConfigure the firewall : Code sudo ufw allow from your_ip_address to any port 22And restart the service : sudo systemctl restart sshd Let us know how it goes (Oct 23, 2024 03:44 AM)DramaKing Wrote: Can you elaborate on the problem? It should be pretty obvious if the connection is blocked, but "not letting me" could mean a lot of things. A connection timeout would indicate that ssh could not connect. However, Dreamhost does not list any firewall or network rules. If you get a permission denied error, there's a problem with the shared keys. If you're willing to follow directions, please run this command (changing placeholders as needed), copy the output, and paste it in a reply. Code ssh -i private_key -vv [email protected] |
