It seems like a hard game to get into, is there a big learning curve if you're new and playing public matches?

I would say there is a learning curve for most games that you play for your first time. League of Legends in my opinion could be categorized with a lot of games that inhabits sweats. People that play the game extremely seriously, but most play a lot worse than they think they do. It is a fun game, but can get exhausting at times. I play game modes that don't require as much critical thinking and/or teamwork. Makes it a lot less stressful and at times more enjoyable. It's a unique game because you will be playing with team mates all the time unless it is against bots or a custom game. Different opportunities to get better by offering you choices between different role types during the game as well as champions with unique kits (skills).

Ah gotcha that makes sense. Theres some sort of skill or elo based matching system at least or do you just get tossed in with the sweats?

I mainly go for simple games that you just 'play' and dont really have to commit a lot of brainpower to survive

In ranked match making you will be in an ELO based MMR game play. I do believe there is MMR in all game modes to an extent, but in normal games you could be placed against good or bad players.

I'm not too sure, they've kind of lost their luster over the years. I used to love games but now I can't even think about it sadly.

What do you do for fun on the PC these days?

I guess I probably just don't have fun these days. I watch YouTube and refresh HF expecting 500 people to have magically registered and started posting in the previous 2 minutes.

I spend a lot of time on YouTube too. I wish there was that many active posters now honestly.
