Min investment? Power use? I am total n00b but want to learn how to build a XMR miner. Anyone have some links? Tips? Thanks.

I have everything up and running VIA XMRig using an i7 intel cpu. This is experimental.

I have aN amd radeon 7950 stitiing in my closet that I would have to rebuild. Would this work good? or does Nvidia cards work better at mining XMR?

You'll get paid on day one with that set up. Move over to XLA community on XMRIG. check scala pool.
