I actually watched the whole thing with my brother. Once the singing started I knew something was going to be off. We ended up just laughing through the entire film. Called it law and order the musical and other stupid things we could come up with.

To bad they ruined the movie.

I was very curious how the story would go after everything that happened in the first part.
but then I saw an article that the director plans to make it a "musical" and I was pretty convinced it ain't gonna end up well.

I haven't seen the movie. All I know is, everyone I follow online found it underwhelming.
Even crazier, I read somewhere that the director went home for the opening weekend, closed his phone and has no idea how the movie was received.

Wasn't exactly sure how I feel about all of this, all I know is I ain't looking forward to watching it.

Yeah, after hearing it was a musical I didn't watch it either. Don't think I'll ever plan to. Did the director not understand who his audience was??

I heard it wasn't the director. I heard they needed a female lead actor and were threaten to be sued for sexism.
To avoid the lawsuit the production company forced the director to make a script to include a leading female role.
The best he could get was lady gaga at the time and she demanded it to be a musical. She said she likes to sing and act.

So, they had to rewrite the script and add that in. That is why he didn't bother checking how the public would take it.
He knew it was crap but it wasn't his fault it was the production company and a undisclosed female actor that threaten to sue.
People think that lady gaga was the one giving the threats but it was never confirmed and she denied it.

I would rather spend mine watching stuff which is, at the very least, well received by others.
I understand that people have different opinions but considering how nobody I knew liked Joker 2, gonna pass and spend my time on something else instead.
