Well all things take time, especially with all the previous aid given to continue the war.

Luckily it's a pretty simple, easy solution.
Russia gives back all lands.
Russia leaves.
Russia builds a DMZ at least 50% on Russian land, and pays for Ukraine's side.
Russia pays reparations.
Russia is sanctioned for years, or possibly decades as a punishment.

I think that's fair to both parties and it would go a long way to enabling true peace in the region: with NATO at the doorstep of RU to make sure they don't think about coming back again in the future (aka: learn from 2014, don't let RU off the hook this time).

Meh, unfortunately it won't happen. We'll go for some sort of anti-peace arrangement that benefits Russia and sets them up to re-invade Ukraine in years from now. It's a shame, but this is the "peace" people seem to want in the world. I want true peace. We didn't give the Nazis what they wanted, and we shouldn't give the Nazis what they want now. Russia should fall to bring morals and values back as a bigger priority.

I could not give a single fuck that Russia is fearful of the west. They should be.
It's like saying a pedo should be afraid of the lynch mob, or a killer should be afraid of justice. Good. They should be, and it should arrive for them one day in fuller force than it has.

I think NATO should continue to expand and we should leverage the energy crisis to convince more border nations to abandon Putin, in favor of EU / NATO / US / similar deals. I think we should completely isolate RU and make sure that Ukraine is just the first.

Possibly, but that depends on a few things going wrong, and a few people making that decision.
One would hope that Putin would rather lose land than face M.A.D. and one would hope that the Russian people would rather find a new leader than risk it at all. Many things can change in time, especially if we chip away at their economy for years. Like a frog boiling

I don't know what the future holds.
I do know that I do not want a future where Ukraine is Russia, and other "3 day special operations" are launched on neighboring countries.
Where does it stop? I highly doubt RU will stop after Ukraine. They'll likely go for more in Ukraine, and more in other countries too.

Sad times man.

Personally I view Ukraine surrendering as the least peaceful plan.
I see an ongoing war for years as the most peaceful plan.

The reason is because I have 0 faith that RU will not just do it again in the future.
So for me, the continuation of Ukrainian defense is vital to world peace.
I think anything less than that just gives RU permission to keep killing .
