I had a registry backup ( a normal export of .reg files) and i changed few of my registries back. So i was just trying to restore my registries using that backup but somehow the backup was corrupted and i didn't knew that and i restored it. It threw an error that i could be restored and the i turned off my pc after turning it on again, now the pc is not booting. I even tried advanced windows diagnostics and startup repair but it doesn't seem to work. And somehow out of stupidness i didn't had any restore point which i can revert back to. I used terminal in recovery mode and ran few things sfc /scannow and dism too but that doesn't seems to be working. Since microsoft has shut off the automatic recovery of registries so i didn't had backup of registries in RegBack too. Now my pc is not booting .It is not even booting in any of the safe modes. Any possibilities on what i can do in order to boot it?

Maybe the backup was corrupted, or maybe the keys were no longer valid for the system state. I would try a factory reset, or failing that, backup your files and reinstall. It's unlikely that you can repair the registry on an unbootable system. |
