Files corrupted after making backup

So I just sold my pc today. I have a new one so I wanted to copy all the files that were on my SSD (in the pc that I was gonna sell) to my new PC's HDD. So I used this tool called EaseUS Backup or whatever. So I made the backup and I can go into the folder and open some pictures etc. That all works. But when I try to open up a game like battlefield 4 for example I get an error. What causes this? I thought I copied all the files to my new HDD so I should be able to just run everything again?

Would appreciate some help! Thanks
You can't play the game if there are some files missing. Just reinstall it.
Hello,

There is a difference between a copy and a backup restore of the system. If you copy and paste you will only transfer the files, but nothing will be installed.

However, if you performed a backup restore from an external drive with a tool it may work. However that's not perfect, the best you should have to do in this case is use a tool such as Paragon Clone, in order to make an exact copy of what you had and how your system was
I would not backup the OS files you wont be able to just copy to a new disc and it works... make a note of the games you have and backup the CD keys (if its steam then its ez just reinstall)
