Editing after auto-merge

Quick suggestion after writing some longer posts — there's a 13,000 character limit overall (for my usergroup, Leet). The issue is, when I post something big and it gets auto-merged, I lose the ability to edit it afterward, including fixing the title or any small mistakes, since the merge locks it.

Ideally I was hoping that something could be done to alleviate this friction (without having to upgrade 😂).
If the objective is to make guides / tutorials to provide HQ content to the community, we're allowing a way to 'bypass' the post limit. It requires two people:

you post the first part (under 13.000 chars), then someone else posts something (anything), and you immediately follow up with the second part.
You repeat this process as many times as needed.
Finally, the other person deletes his posts. This way, you end up with something like this:

https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6263412 [multiples posts, not merged]

It's better to be coordinated with the person who will post after you, so you do it quicky, and you avoid someone else out of this process posting.
In case it happens, reach out Staff so we'll remove the concerned post.

I'm more a THM guy, but thanks for the HTB, I'm sure it will be helpful for people 👍

Upgrade into Ub3r for a higher character limit.

"Max Post Length setting is 30,000 characters"
