Which adblocker do you use? Try looking around for a button that let's you update your filters.

YouTube has been aggressively fighting adblocking attempts for months now.

I use AdGuard and it blocks ads on YouTube pretty well, I do occasionally have to force update the filters as well.

Have you tried ubllock origin?
In my experience ublock origin extension works the best. Haven't had an issue with it. It also updates automatically when it needs to.
I'm using uBlock Origin on Firefox and works like a charm. I think that uBlock is not available anymore on Chrome tho.

So either Brave or Firefox I think

I personally if you have the resources setup adguard home in a vm keep it updated, and edit your dns settings to that vm thus all traffic for which ever device your not wanting ads on.
I had ublock origin on chrome, but they decided to nuke that. So I just switched to a completely different browser. I now use Brave mainly for entertainment purposes like Youtube etc. <3
I can also recommend Brave Browser as one of the other members above did. You can import everything you need in the same manner as other browsers; just has built in mechanisms to protect your privacy and online data brokers from being predators but ofc you can take that much further if you so desire
I also use uBlock Origin on Firefox. No problems whatsoever.

I am using AdBlock and now will use the uBlock Origin.
UBlock Origin is still working fine it seems. Fuck YouTube.
I've just given in and pay for YouTube Premium. I know that's not going to be super unpopular here, but there was too much friction for ad-blockers.

uBlock Origin was working great on my computer, but I also watch YouTube on my phone and Apple TV and didn't want to go through the setup of something like Pi Hole. YouTube Premium also might replace my Spotify subscription at some point so it'll kinda even out.
