There isn't a way to get rid of the -17 popularity. You can counteract it by receiving positive popularity by creating HQ posts :)

How am I suppose to do that when I am new to all this? Even when I made what I thought was a HQ post - https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6298975 - it barely got any views.
