Gemini files S-1 for IPO to place 16.7M GEMI shares on Nasdaq




Winklevoss brothers-founded crypto exchange Gemini has filed for an IPO, seeking to raise up to $317 million as an “emerging growth company.”

As an emerging growth company with reduced reporting exemptions, Gemini disclosed that it had presented only two years of audited financial statements and omitted a compensation discussion, among other reliefs.

I don't trust anything those two are behind.

Tbh one of the few exchanges that have given me literally no trouble for years.

Hate the crypto casinos they incentivize, but I've had issues with every major exchange except for Gemini and Kraken lol

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss were Harvard classmates of Mark Zuckerberg and co-founders of ConnectU, a social networking site that predated Facebook.
Their legal battle with Zuckerberg over Facebook’s origins resulted in a $65 million settlement, which they later used to fund their crypto ventures.


The twins became early Bitcoin investors, reportedly buying $11 million worth in 2013 when the price was around $120.

Seems to be doing alright so far. It did have a sizeable dip early on, but seems to have stabilized in a decent spot given the initial projections they had for it. I expect it will go up over time and I'll be curious to see what other crypto IPOs we end up seeing in the future.

I'd like to see Gemini expand their offerings. Lots of room for growth imho. I hate it that Google named their AI Gemini. Seems like they did it intentionally to fuck with the twins. Meh.

Not much talk about Gemini IPO so far, this could be getting in on a micro-coinbase. it is a CEX that accepts Americans
