Battles for religion, power and money will catch up to people someday(it already did lol). As Tears for Fears wrote, "nothing ever lasts forever" and by that time I dont think people will make such big step.✌✌✌

They need resources from other planets and they will find a way to go get them (even themselves)

My guess is no.
Not because it’s impossible, but because by the time we have the technology to do it, we’ll have the technology to build even better colonies in space, or on/inside small asteroids, than we could ever build on a planet.
