I am always surprised by how many people rely on services, exchanges, invoice platforms, and direct P2P for payments.
It's not hard to create a smart contract, and depending on the network, not that expensive to deploy or interact with.
Here are some basic concepts...
- Receive funds
- Maintain user balances in contract (optional)
- Split funds, or allocate equity / % shares in received payments
- Receive & send to another contract or address
- Multi contract flows allow for infinite layers of equity % , or personal accounting (ex: withhold for tax, split to 2 addresses, share with spouse, etc)
- Sell tokens, tickets, or single items
- Address-based ownership or internal contract tokens, memberships, etc can be used for web portals, app access, etc (web3 wallet connections - SSO)
There are so many use cases.
Does anyone have any tips for people who haven't written or used a smart contract before?
