Starting to feel like Christmas outside and got me thinking about the holidays.

What do you recall as your favorite memory?

I grew up dirt poor on a farm. Denied food stamps because the food stamp office couldn't believe our monthly income was $0. I was about 10 and started working for the doctor who owned the farm, bringing his mail, cleaning the stables, watering the blackberries, taking out his trash.

I gave so much to my mom and sometimes would keep a little for myself. I started selling Pokemon cards and lucas at school also. One Christmas my brother and sister and I put our money together and hit the dollar stores hardcore loaded up on all these stupid cheap gifts.

Nothing amazing or expensive but it looked so awesome seeing all those gifts under the tree.

My favorite was Eid because I'm Muslim it's like our Christmas, and even though we didn't officially celebrate Christmas my family still got a tree and decorated for the holiday so it was neat

As a kid my favorite time of the year was celebrating New Years with my family. I was perhaps 10-13 years old at the time. It was with my mom, dad and brother in a tiny flat apartment. Still a very nice core memory. Nostalgia </3
