I live in a small village with no more than 30 people - no stores, no markets, no cafes, nothing.

Closest city is about 6 minutes away, so I get to keep my peace while being close to civilization xD

My English is so lacking I had to look up "rural" in the dictionary in order to understand the topic.

I live in a small place with about 10000 inhabitants. It's very dangerous despite the small size. The risk (or odds or chance) of getting killed when going out at night feels like 60%. Absolutely crazy. 😄

I was raised in a very rural area and remained there for the early part of my adult life, but now I live in the city and I honestly prefer it, even though there's a lot of light pollution that prevents me from seeing most of the stars at night.

I bought my house just outside the city limits I'm just a 20-30 minute drive to the city though so I get best of both suburban and city worlds

Is New York a good state to live in? I live in a city that is growing. We have a lot of people from california, texas, new york moving into our area.

If you head up north 12 miles you will hit rural areas... aka farm lands small towns etc. If you head out west 20 miles then it becomes rural area.
but yeah I live in a city that is surrounded by other cities and a major city.

However, would like to move to the rural areas.

I was raised in a very rural area and remained there for the early part of my adult life, but now I live in the city and I honestly prefer it, even though there's a lot of light pollution that prevents me from seeing most of the stars at night.

Why would you prefer to live in the city? For me I am on the fence on this. I feel like if you're balling making a lot of money.
Then living in the rural area is better but I feel if you don't make much money it' best to live in the city because there's less cost or things are much cheaper because of the efficiency for logistics.
