Step 1 - DOD website
https://www.war.gov/News/Contracts/
i use this all the time to identify smaller companies who are awarded bigger than usual contracts.
It's good also for big companies, but you can find some really good profits by perusing this contracts website every week.
Recent examples include further investments in Project Overmatch and the Aegis Combat System and Sikorsky investments, and more.
Pick a date (or crawl/scrape all):
https://www.war.gov/News/Contracts/Contr...e/4319114/
(Oct 30 example)
Step 2 - Ask GPT to extract company names, project purpose, and amounts
Step 3: Ask LLM to filter down to only public companies.

If you need exchange info, make sure you ask. For example some may be NASDAQ, some may be NYSE, etc, etc.
In this case, I already own these types of companies - Oct 30 is not a good date for me.
Now, if you want an easier way without using a custom scraper/crawler (faster, so it's a good idea), then you can use a slower but automatic agent mode. For example, I used GPT5 agent so it could navigate to the contracts page and go into each date for me, and process the data without me needing to re-prompt:

I can tell you 100% that method 1 above with the 3 steps is faster than agent mode, per date. However, agent mode will get you more research info. If you are familiar with companies, you can do that on your own, but if you need help researching then agent mode might be better for you.
