Recent Dump And Bitcoin's Strength

If you need a reason to buy Bitcoin instead of alts, let me show you this:

Bitcoin down 19% from ATH
Ethereum down 30% from ATH
XRP down 39% from ATH
BNB down 32% from ATH
SOL down 46% from ATH

What do these numbers mean? They are the truth that Bitcoin even in a down market is the best asset to hold. Your portfolio should be 90% Bitcoin (or more). Everyone holding alts right now is feeling a hard pinch and thinking to themselves "why didn't I sell". Nobody holding Bitcoin is thinking that at all. Holding Bitcoin means waiting out the market and letting it play out for many years.

The market plays games. Bitcoin does not. Get your BTC, swap your alts NOW for BTC before you lose 90% of your value in whatever shill alt you have. Bitcoin is the only play in the crypto space long-term.
Ive heard XMR has gone up quite a bit the last few days. I am not really that surprised given the dumps. BTC usually should be held anyway, if you sell whilst its dropping and you got BTC youre a loon.
The fact is that Bitcoin was the first crypto currency to gain high trust and popularity, which makes it a safe haven like gold.

I sold everything when Bitcoin hit $114K, (after 125 drop) I sold even my Bitcoin. I converted it all into USDT. I think Bitcoin’s going to drop further, especially after that big crypto hack onBalancer, got exploited and lost over around 17,000 ETH, and more attacks are targeting not just DeFi platforms but also individual wallets. Recently, another investor lost $1.2 million in USDT after sending funds to a “poisoned address” , basically a nearly identical copy of a real one, just with a few characters changed.

When I sent my USDT, I checked the address letter by letter.😆 I even sent just $5 first to make sure, and only then sent the rest, after checking it like ten times, my full address 😆
I’m not talking about big money here, but for me, it’s still a lot.

Not enough people do test transactions imho. If I'm sending anything significant, I'm doing a $5-$10 transaction first.

Anyone on X right now should see how much ZEC is being pumped by shills. Terrible.

Overall though, I'm out of the market except for some stablecoins and XMR, oh and my cold storage BTC which I will never touch till it's $1m+.

Yeah this is really good advice.

I also recommend that people send the address to the person they're sending to, to confirm.

I worry about someone botching their own address, and then I send to it and they don't receive it. I always make them confirm twice so they can 100% confirm that what i've copied and pasted is correct.

i'm not waiting on $1M with current batch, but maybe some. I am expecting to see that 400k area though and then I'll re-evaluate for a push to 1m

I lowered my alt holdings btw :)
Omg! It was $110k just a few hours ago.

These are not attacks or hacks. These are idiotic methods people fall for because they don’t understand how cryptocurrency works, and fall as a victim for theft and fraud.

Address poising is honestly the #1 most stupidest way to lose money.

Phishing is #2. If they’re giving out phrases and logins to websites, they really shouldn’t have technology manage their finances.

Social engineering is #3. No company is going to call them to ask them to send funds, OTP codes, or even passwords through the phone. Yet dumbass people fall for it.

Lastly, #4 would be victims who fell for a quick money making scheme. They clearly deserve to lose their money because they thought they can turn their thousand dollars to a million dollars.

my aunt fell for #3

and not sure if my uncle is still running some sort of public wifi (to earn crypto), but he definitely bought into that hype and tried to get me to buy into it too

"guaranteed money" fuck offf uncle bob

a few of my cousins waited way too long and bought into crypto at its height (not this current peak, few years ago) and then had the audacity to ask me why it went down................................

I don't really share tips on Facebook anymore, too many simpletons make mistakes and blame people who were just trying to share knowledge.
I will say i am surprised bitcoin is still holding above $100k with this dump

Nope. It’s now at 99k.

Let it sink to 90k and then 80k
And everyone cries in tears

I find it just hard to convert to btc down 65k atm.
may be delusional but i do believe alts will run up 20-30% if btc blasts soon.
So hoping on that probably wrong

orrrrr start reserving cash and buy at 70-90K with it still technically on a multi-year positive trend line

& if we're wrong about that, buy into any of the other markets taking a hit right now instead if you keep cash out :)
I think buying bitcoin is never the question

It's more so about negating the fear you have when prices do go down and putting yourself in a position to be able to buy more bitcoin

In which case, most of the on chain smart money moves to tether, or yield protocols in times like this, with few rare exceptional narratives like ai agents on base doing well, daily-weekly narratives (volatility) that pop up like 402, or privacy like zcash currently being a narrative ( I think we will see 1k zec in no time
