Thoughts on hype

What do you guys think about Hype long term?
All hype dies at the end. Long term projects don't sustain over hype but over viability, function/use and practicality.

Right now Bitcoin is the only one that I see surviving beyond hype.
Also by hype I meant “Hyperliquid” my bad.
Hard to say, I want to think it'll go the way of all the other major perp exchanges that have existed before it, 6-12 months of prominence before fading away. But, Hyperliquid is its own chain, it has more going for it, more people building on top of it. Could argue it's solidified its self in the top 15/20 and won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
Looking like a nice dip to buy imho
As a Hyperliquid builder I can say for sure that it has one of the best communities and a unique PMF.

Hyperliquid focuses on serving as infrastructure and has the best design for that goal.

Distribution is extremely important and they do a great job of allowing innovators to do that.

But perps as a whole are not a unique product and even with the equities there is a lack of moat: anyone can build a competitor as long as their liquidity and fills are better, and projects like Lighter are showing their strength along with Ethereum's growth via means of upgrades like Fusaka.
Kailh Box White Owls made me type this post.
Enjoyable read (unsure if articles can be embedded)

Autodeleveraging: $653 million lost to a greedy heuristic?
We still rely on heuristics likely written by a BitMEX developer in 2016 for settling $60+ trillion in annual perpetual futures volume

Very interesting reads, thanks for them
