So, I’m leaving here a piece of news that surely many already know or some (like in my case) just found out; in short: Tether (USDT) has invested 81 million dollars (70 million euros) in Generative Bionics, in short: advanced humanoid robots developed by an Italian startup.

More exactly, what happened?

So Generative Bionics received 70 million euros in funding to develop humanoid robots, yes, you read that right, for what? for industry.

Among these investors are:
  • Tether,
  • AMD Ventures,
  • Duferco,
  • Eni Next,
  • and others.
Tether (USDT) clearly said that it supports the development of these small robots and of Physical AI technologies. Let’s understand each other: AI that controls physical bodies/machines, not just software.

Why is Tether investing?🤑
  1. because it wants to support the development of emerging technologies,
  2. it also wants alternatives to the big Big Tech companies,
  3. it invests in fields such as finance, energy, data, education and "evolution" [and AI falls under the “evolution” category.]

What does Generative Bionics do?🙄
  • It’s a sort of spin-off from the Italian Institute of Technology.
  • It works on humanoid robots capable of working in factories, on production lines (where surely humans will be replaced with these robots...🤦‍♂️)
  • they want to create their first production factory for the industrial robotic platform.

A bit more broadly, so others understand:🙂
  • Tether (USDT) is already investing a lot in AI in 2025.
  • A possible investment of over 1 billion dollars in the German startup Neura (AI + robotics) was reported.
  • It also invested in Blackrock Neurotech (brain–computer interfaces),
  • and in a global AI project with Northern Data and Rumble for a network of 20,000 GPUs.

A short summary so I don’t bore you:🤭

It seems that Tether is no longer just a crypto company, but is trying to become a major investor in AI, robotics, and advanced physical technologies (basically the future of humanity, so to speak), with the goal of influencing the field and reducing dependence on Big Tech.

I read about this and thought it was okay to bring it to the attention of others who didn’t know.
Have a good day, friends 🙂

Scam "stablecoin" currency trying to become relevant before getting the FBI ban hammer.
I'm meeting with a funded startup soon that specializes in humanoid robots and other machines. They have a giant warehouse with robots walking around and I'll be visiting and meeting with founders in a few weeks. They are family friends, so we'll see what types of opportunities this might bring to me.

humanoid robots is a bigger industry than Tether as-is. I don't think this news should be treated as a marketing play, the real news is that a startup just received millions for their idea.
