Charlie Lee Bitcoin Maxi

In case you don't know who Charlie Lee is, he created Litecoin. And years ago sold all his LTC.

This is classic, and I don't mean it's old. It mean that it's a perfect example of what I've said to everyone.

Buy Bitcoin, hold, and STFU.

Its not a good thing to be a BTC Maxi. BTC has multiple flaws itself.. Smart contract chains have extremely good use cases.

Yes, BTC has consistently outperformed almost all other cryptos.

So which of the 100's of Smart Contract Blockchains is the best investment and why?

Well, I am only going to focus on ETH because I dont follow any other in depth. I do believe that the future is multi chain, my second biggest bag is ChainLink.

This is also a rabbit hole that you have to want to go down.

I can literally go on and on with news articles. I will also say that all of these stories are not older than 2 months. I also want to point out that BTC was guaranteed to have a spot ETF, ETH was not. ETH got its spot ETF under Gensler. That is a huge clue that there is a big push from powerful people to get this ball rolling.

The SEC chair Paul Atkins recently said "Tokenization is imminent, and we at the SEC should be focused on how we advance innovation in the marketplace.”

Stable coins are going to get pushed hard, because of the government debt that needs to be refinanced at a lower rate. Stable coin issuers hold gov bonds and get 4-5% yield. The more stable coins that are on chain the debt that USDC and USDT need to hold to cover it.

I could argue about this forever.. It is SOOOO OBVIOUS what is happening. Fuck the FUD and the clear manipulation of price.

Buying Bitcoin, holding it, and ignoring market noise has proven to be more effective than constantly chasing the next big thing.

Not wrong lmao , one day Satoshi's wallet will be hacked, 10,20 years etc. cannot wait for that bloodbath lol.

His coins are safe. Even when a quantum hack happens. He never sent a transaction, therefore his public keys were never exposed. You would need to break SHA-256 or ECDSA, which is basically used for the internet and military today.

His coins will 100% either be frozen by a hard fork or taken by a quantum computer. Both are equally as bad.

One of my favorite anti BTC arguments is, who will still be mining in the future when block reward goes down to .01 BTC? On top of that with BTC mostly being locked in ETFs and sent via Lightning Network. There are barely any fees going to be generated. A nation state like China would gladly spend a billion dollars to disrupt Bitcoin.

In 2060 the BTC halving reward will be 0.006103515625 at a million dollar BTC thats 6,100.

My guess is that BTC will eventually be 100% wrapped on a smart contract chain. I guess there are pros and cons of not being able to upgrade.

People don't understand this. Anyone saying that Satoshi's wallet is going to get broken by Quantum is misinformed.

AI Quote: Short answer: No, not with anything that exists today or in the near future.
Long answer below, broken down cleanly.

🔐 What protects Satoshi’s Bitcoin?

Bitcoin uses two main cryptographic primitives:

1. ECDSA (secp256k1) – protects private keys
2. SHA-256 – protects hashes, mining, and addresses

Satoshi’s coins (≈1 million BTC) are believed to be in P2PK outputs, meaning the public key is visible on-chain, which matters for quantum analysis.

⚛️ What quantum computers could break (in theory)

1️⃣ ECDSA via Shor’s algorithm

Shor’s algorithm can mathematically break elliptic-curve cryptography
That would allow deriving a private key from a public key

⚠️ BUT this requires:
~1–2 million *error-corrected logical qubits*
Sustained coherent runtime Fault tolerance far beyond current tech

Current reality (2025):

Best quantum machines: ~100–1,000 noisy qubits Effective logical qubits: near zero

➡️ We are decades away, not years.

2️⃣ SHA-256 via Grover’s algorithm

Grover’s only gives a square-root speedup SHA-256 (256-bit) → effectively becomes 128-bit security

That is still astronomically secure.

➡️ Grover does NOT meaningfully threaten Bitcoin hashing

🧠 Why Satoshi’s wallet is still safe

Even if a future quantum computer could break ECDSA:

The attacker would need to:

1. Extract Satoshi’s private key
2. Broadcast a transaction
3. Beat the network confirmation window The moment *any quantum theft happens:

Bitcoin would hard-fork
Keys would migrate to post-quantum signatures
Legacy outputs would be frozen or migrated

Bitcoin can upgrade. Cryptography is not static.

🧩 The bigger picture

If quantum computers could crack Satoshi’s wallet, they could also break:

Banks TLS / HTTPS
Governments Military systems
Every ECC-based blockchain

Bitcoin would be the least of our problems.

👤 About Satoshi

Satoshi Nakamoto has never moved those coins.
Many experts believe this is intentional:
As a *credibility anchor As a *failsafe Or because keys are destroyed

✅ Final verdict

| Question | Answer |
| ------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------- |
| Can quantum computers break Bitcoin today? | ❌ No |
| In 10 years? | ❌ Extremely unlikely |
| In several decades? | ⚠️ Possible, but Bitcoin can adapt |
| Specifically Satoshi’s wallet? | ❌ Not realistically |

If you want, I can also explain:

How post-quantum Bitcoin would work Why reused addresses are more dangerous than quantum attacks
Whether Satoshi intentionally used P2PK for signaling
* What would happen if Satoshi’s coins ever moved

Just say the word.

I just wish people would inform themselves and stop repeating what dummies say.

I agree that QC is not as big of a threat as people believe. It wont become a real threat for at least 20 years from now. QC is not BTCs biggest threat. I believe that my previous post is a much bigger threat. Who will pay to secure the network if the block price is $6,000 at $1,000,000 BTC? (.006 BTC per block at 1 million dollar BTC in 2060(34 years))

I think we are just in a distribution and accumulation phase for BTC. BTC will more than likely be wrapped/tokenized on ETH.

Why does nobody argue against this subject? I have brought this up like 5 times any nobody can say anything about me being wrong. This is why being a Maxi is bad. You ignore the negatives.

Governments and mega-corporations will gladly secure the network because it's the only asset controlled by none and trusted by all. China, Russia, USA, and basically every major country will have treaties about mining BTC.

What is the cost now to have a financial system with US Dollars as the Global Reserve Currency? We have sanctions, we have wars, all because of it. There is fraud and scams everywhere. Under a global financial system backed by Bitcoin, a lot of situations get fixed.

You're thinking too small imho. Bitcoin will be a store of value. Nobody will be buying coffee with BTC blockchain. You might buy a home or car with it at most. Your financial future and retirement might be Bitcoin. Companies and governments moving billions will do it in Bitcoin. Governments will create CBDC's backed by Bitcoin (similar to your wrapped BTC on Ethereum theory).

The financial world is going to change in meaningful ways.

I want to add that just like how the US government spends almost $1T annually on the Dept of Defense meanwhile we're not at war. Annual budget of the Federal Reserve is about $6B too. Trust me, governments are going to back Bitcoin and happily.

BTC was definitely made in the USA at least, there are zero other theories. More than likely BTC was made by the CIA. It’s probably a 70% chance. There are 1,000,000 coins that nobody knows who owns? Besides Satoshi Nakamoto. BTC was launched in 2009 right after the 2008 financial crisis. Why the fuck would other countries own it and play into this? China and Russia definitely dont trust BTC. They own none.

It’s expensive to run a network but when it comes to who has more money controls the network it is not worth it. That is NOT decentralization. So, BTC is 100% moving towards being completely government run? These are EXTREMELY high hopes. By 2060 it will be pointless to mine BTC unless you are subsidized by the Gov. you will make no money.

Even right now it is close to not being profitable to mine BTC. 3 entities supply 53% of the hash power to BTC.

Love the post and thank you for breaching this topic, Omni. In my personal opinion, LTC rode off the wave of hardforks at a time when BTC was the prime innovator in blockchain technology and managed to stick to the crypto sidemarket availability (i.e. the coin exists, there is probably some sort of usage for that, either in terms of technology or financial value, yet we don't know how/what) - however never made the leap into the main stage as a sole product. One might argue that there are technology advancements behind its implementation, however to this day (and it's been a long while since LTC hit the market) Litecoin remains as an extension for Bitcoin and one of the earliest, moderately successful proof-of-concept releases made with blockchain technology.

While I'm not going to touch on the economic statements that both of you have posted above, which personally I'd like to thank you for, there is however one interesting matter which I'd love to discuss further:

(Dec 20, 2025 10:40 AM)Marvelous Wrote:  His coins will 100% either be frozen by a hard fork or taken by a quantum computer. Both are equally as bad.

From my outlook, none of these FUD conspiratorial theories have any chance of materializing, in real digital life. Why? Option 1: Any hard fork that would affect the genesis balance wallet would immediately disprove the legitimacy of the hard fork. Case in point, ETH vs ETC. Option 2: With quantum computing availability, so does the difficulty increase and therefore mining capabilities while having to undergo a massive shift in operations, should stabilize and the results, at least theoretically, will be that we end up with a much stronger and decentralized network. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether the DEV team can keep up, technology-wise. As for your other counterpoints, they mostly border on financial so I'll skip for now, though I'd love to get back to this thread and get involved. The two of you raise very valid points and I'm loving the clash of culture views that is being mixed with tech talk + financial possibilities. For a crypto nerd like myself, that's what I call good company lol
