Best Linux distro for personal computers in 2026?

What is the best Linux distribution in 2026, in your opinion?
Specifically i'm thinking about personal computers, not backend servers for this question / thread.
I personally really like Mint.

https://www.linuxmint.com/

It has a really simple and intuitive interface.

I stepped into linux with zorin os. But once u understand more ubuntu is also good mostly because ai just makes it simple now to navigate and install programs on linux.
I just ask ai for "bash script" to install "program name" properly on my device <pasting the response of the command neofetch >

Whatever response i get i copy and paste it on my terminal window.

Also many automation scripts are available like https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/linutil

I'm debating on replacing my Ubuntu with either Arch Linux or Fedora but I want to use Hyperland with whatever one I choose. The only reason I haven't selected Arch is because I'm worried about bricking my system and losing stuff on my computer. If anyone can give me your opinion on what I should do I'd love that.

I’ve always been a die‑hard Debian user. I enjoy Mint and Ubuntu too, but even though they are both based on debian themselves I always find myself returning to the rock-solid stability of Debian.

Does anyone know anything about Whonix?
Does anyone use it? Or have you used it before?

I started with Mint but now I'm on Manjaro
I am currently using PopOS because of the out of the box NVIDIA compatibility. For now I really enjoy it and it is really intuitive.

Cross the line, not the rules.
I use Arch because I just love how to customize it, even if it can be a headache at times..

Same. PopOS's NVIDIA drivers are great. No problems with the OS.
Fedora 43 is the best.

Always been a fan of Ubuntu and Mint, have had one or the other dualbooted for years.
I absolutely love Debian but I'm biased at this point. Mint is truly the best option out there in terms of daily drivers. The stability and overall ease of use is just top notch.

Just out of complete curiosity, why are you considering running Fedora?
