It’s been several years since I last went hunting with my father. We didn’t use firearms, though — it was more about setting traps or waiting to catch a rabbit or something similar. I’ve never gone fishing, but it honestly seems fun. In American or foreign movies, there’s almost always a moment of reflection or some kind of bonding during fishing trips. The most common dynamic I’ve seen is father and son.
I also understand that hunting isn’t viewed very positively nowadays, especially because there are people who hunt irresponsibly without respecting nature or the regulations that now exist. But have any of you ever hunted something at some point in your life? Did you have any good or bad experiences with those kinds of activities? I’m listening.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
I was going to hunting with my dad when I was young, and when I got older I started going fishing with my friends.
Five year weapons ban club 🤦
I used to go fishing , Sheepshead are pretty good to eat
i wish i did but i just dont have anywhere to go near me
Nah, not looking forward to that either!
I’ve never been hunting, but I understand why it can be a meaningful tradition when it is done legally and responsibly. Fishing seems more appealing to me because it combines patience, nature, and time to talk without distractions. I would like to try it someday, even if I didn’t catch anything.
Fishing with my dad, mostly when I was younger. It wasn't too much fun for me, but I liked spending the quality time with him.
Went once fishing with my Father.
Where I'm from, it's often joked how we're born knowing how to fish. Although I don't think I've gone hunting before. Opportunity just never presented itself.
Went Fishing with my father growing up many times. it was dumb,
went hunting and fishing with the boys. now we shoot pests and carve up the ocean,
Yeah a bunch.
I hunt almost anything. Moose, deer etc.
Sometimes even Boars and what not.
I find it quite a bit of fun. But I and my dad we have this way of thinking that we only hunt what we actually need.
And nothing more.

I loved going fishing when I was younger, the patience it takes to get the fish builds character and focus. Same for the hunt, you get to respect the life of the animal you hunt and be grateful for what it brings you.
