Good morning Hackforums,
Is it just me and my general area, or are the weather forecasts completely full of shit these days? I've been working outside alot so far this year and we rely on the upcoming weather forecasts to strategically schedule specific jobs, projects, etc. I'm noticing more and more that the local weather forecasters and even larger, national organizations (like Weather.com) are often inaccurate, even within a couple hours.
I've spoken to some older folks who swear up and down that "back in the day" the weather forecasts were a bit more ironclad. I've also heard that meteorologists are relying on decades old technology in alot of cases that wasn't built for what is realistically our different type of climate in 2026. I'm not sure how true any of that is, just throwing what I've been told and what I've read out there for convenience.
What are your thoughts and experiences regarding this?
