Atmospheric pressure across Hack Forums is dropping.

A five-night Storm front is taking shape.

DATES: July 28 – August 1
ARRIVAL: 10:00 PM Eastern each night
NIGHTLY BYTEFALL: Up to 10,000 Bytes
TOTAL FORECAST: Up to 50,000 Bytes
AREAS UNDER WATCH: Hack, Tech, and Money

Every night, Project Storm will randomly select nine threads created that day across the areas under watch.

Each selected thread will receive its own 1,111-Byte Storm, divided into random amounts among its unique qualifying posters.

How do you get into the path of the Storm?

• Participate in threads created that day within Hack, Tech, or Money.
• Make a genuine post containing at least 30 visible characters.
• Be in the thread before the 10:00 PM ET Storm arrives.
• Posting repeatedly will not multiply your payout, each member can receive only once per Storm.

There is nothing to claim, and no target list will be announced. The system chooses the threads at launch through the official Hack Forums API.

Forecast totals represent potential Bytefall. A front may weaken if there are insufficient same-day threads, or qualifying posters.

Update 8/2 - All bytes have been sent. Total of 50k bytes over the past week. I really liked the feedback. I'm going to do some more work to clean up my storm system, and speak to some members about collaborating and doing a massive month long storm.
