Anthropic is building a pre-crime surveillance system to monitor anti-AI activists.

The American Prospect reports that Anthropic is expanding an intelligence operation to identify, track and investigate threats including activism targeting the AI industry, with systems monitoring protests around executives and company facilities.

The most controversial part is that the system reportedly aims to predict incidents before they happen, with Anthropic already making threat reports to police in some cases.
Every AI, phone, company, all pushing surveillance, crazy time.
Pretty insane and incredible... as a young person in 2026 we're in for a ride by 2050! These systems are only going to get smarter and quicker.
Can't wait to see the overall AI hype to go downhill. Companies are trying to build and replace almost anything with AI but that will crash the economy at some point, I already see some companies going to a cheaper model just to afford running the business lmfao

Fr, everything is turning into a surveillance system at this point. Privacy is slowly becoming a luxury.

Honestly, 2050 sounds both exciting and terrifying at the same time. I wonder how much of today's stuff we'll even recognize by then.

Yeah, the hype won't last forever. At some point companies will have to prove AI is actually worth the cost instead of just shoving it into everything for the sake of it.
