Hello and welcome to my japanese lesson, today you'll learn some common japanese phrases.

Here's a list of common phrases.
Kanji/Hiragana - Romanji - Meaning
こんにちわ - Konnichiwa - Hello.
こんばんは - Konbanwa - Good evening.
はじめまして - Hajimemashite - Nice to meet you.
おげんきですか？ O-genki desu ka? - How are you?
お名前ですか？ O-namae desu ka? - What is your name?

Hiragana - Kanji - Romaji - Meaning
にちようび - 日曜日 - Nichiyoubi - Monday
げつようび - 月曜日 - Getsuyoubi - Tuesday
かようび - 火曜日 - Kayoubi - Wednesday
すようび - 巣曜日 - Suyoubi - Thirsday
もくようび - 木曜日 - Mokuyoubi - Friday
きにょうび - 金曜日 - Kinyoubi - Saturday
どようび - 土曜日 - Doyoubi - Sunday
きょう - 今日 - Kyou - Today.
あした - 明日 - Ashita - Tomorrow.
昨日 -　きのう - Kinou - Yesterday.
おととい - 一昨日 - Ototoi - The day before yesterday.
けさ - 今朝 - Kesa - This morning.
こんばｎ - 今晩 - Konban - This evening (Remember konbanwa).
いま - 今 - Ima - Now.

cool lesson. i'm studying japanese in school right now. just took my midterm 2 days ago. although i can only read 18 characters in katakana.

I also want to study japanese, but I'm not able to do that in my current grade. I think that I'll have to wait until next year or someting like that, if my new school has lessons for japanese.

lol. thanks. actually i couldnt study in high school because its not one the school had while i was there. i am a freshman in college and they have it here at the university. the only thing i took in high school was 4 years of spanish and 1 year of mandarin chinese. they may have added japanese after i left the school though. thanks, it was good. (im sure on monday i will have to tell me teacher in japanese...."yokatta desu yo") :P my examiner is legendary for being scary and making people cry(like the girl before me) but i ended up with a B.

How is he scary? xD But, yeah. It's pretty sad that you can't chose japanese in some schools, every school should have the japanese language as an option.

she is notorious for talking down on you during the exam. if you arent really good then she scowls at you and mumbles about you under her breath. the looks she gives are kinda evil/intimidating but she is really nice when the exam is over. if you mess up on a section she will clearly let you know that you failed. yeah, im glad that i could choose Japanese here. been wanting to learn it for years. i live in Pennsylvania
