OK, so I've seen a lot of people around this sub-forum asking about hosting and domains and always going with REALLY bad ones like SPAM so today I will show you a good way to get some hosting and a domain (for free) that is reliable and easy to use.
1.) Sign up for hosting:
Go to Byethost which is a sub-company of SecureSignup. Now, if you want premium hosting then go to this link and select your plan then follow the steps on screen (it is really good hosting so would recommend it if you want to pay.) If it's a little too much then skip to the bottom for a really good offer for hosting with your own IT guy. If not continue reading for free hosting.
Next, fill out the form. Also, to save time make sure to use a Gmail address as Byethost will not allow hotmail or yahoo as their emails are often marked as spam when sent to those companies. At least that is the official reason.
Make sure you use a valid email as a verification email will be sent to you shortly after your completion of the form. Now, confirm it. If you need any further help with verifying and confirming or even signing up PM me and I can give you a hand.
Although with free hosting you don't get a Cpanel with free hosting you do get whats called a VistaPanel which is made by SecureSignup (The master company behind Byethost.) The VistaPanel™ can do most things Cpanel can do so makes running your website a lot easier and is still free.
2.) Obtaining or purchasing a domain:
At this point you can buy a .com domain and still have the free hosting. So it is your one off payment for the domain for a year and no hosting prices or if you literally have no money to spend on this (I hope you have some otherwise getting your website off the ground will be very hard) then I will show you how to get a free short domain. If you want your website to be even considered then I suggest buying a domain even if it's just a cheap .info one, it will be better than a free domain.
Okay, so if you want a free domain then go to Dot TK and enter your current URL (something.byethost.com) and choose a special .tk domain. This is just a good option if you have no money and I still definitely recommend purchasing a domain and premium hosting which you'll need if your website gets big. Now, if you have some money every month but not quite enough for good hosting then click the spoiler below.
