Eclipse - Member of the Year 2016 - Views - Dec 13, 2016
Welcome to the Member of the Year voting thread for 2016!
Eclipse Member of the Year is a competition that awards one special member for their contributions throughout the community. Every member has the potential to win the award, but the final decision is made by the combined efforts of the Hack Forums user base.
One special member will win our Member Of The Year contest and with it a Official Hack Forums award:
The finalists have been chosen! The Voting phase begins today and ends on Friday, December 30th, 2016!
This is your chance to determine who wins the award. You may only vote for one person, so make your vote count! Feel free to post in this thread noting your reason for your vote, if you'd like.
Member of the Year Rules
You are not allowed to ask other members to vote for you. Members in the poll are not allowed to link to the poll at all; this is seen as hinting at or asking for votes. Any such attempts will get you permanently blacklisted from entering any Eclipse events.
Members who are not in the MOTY competition cannot ask for votes on nominees' behalves. Members cannot intentionally ask for votes on behalf of a nominee with the intention of forcing their disqualification or ban from the contest. Users who are guilty of this will also be blacklisted from Eclipse events. The nominees themselves, however, will not be reprimanded unless they instigated or asked other users to create such threads or content.
Members cannot use on-site or off-site media (private messages, public threads or group forums) to ask for votes, either on their own or on someone else's behalf. Members cannot advertise nor link to the MOTY competition in their signature if they are in the competition. Other members can link to the poll thread (in signatures, avatars, usertitles or posts), but they are not allowed to advertise nor harm another member in doing so. Links to the poll thread must link to the OP, and not to another post supporting or detracting from a nominee.
Other users cannot create threads (public or private) to encourage voting for another member. Users are not allowed to spam chat services or lounge threads to get people to vote for a given user.
Vote in the poll for one of the following members:

Reason: I'll be truthful - I feel a bit odd nominating myself, and I truly do not want to feel self-important at all by doing so. The only reason I am doing so is because new custom awards do not come very often, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Thus, I apologize in advance for nominating myself. I know I am fully in my boundaries to do so, but it felt a bit bizarre. Anyways continuing onwards, I have joined HF just over a year ago and I care very much about the website as well as the community. I led Apex for several months, donated quite a bit of money, and have participated in a variety of different subforums throughout HF both in and out of the marketplace. I learned a lot from HF over the past year and have developed a lot of close relationships with lots of different people. I've always been interested in continuously giving back to the community as much as I am able to. Since being in the Red Lions, I have been making efforts continue doing so but on a higher level. I have been working on several guides that will be released in the coming weeks that will hopefully help several users. I do my best to remain as HQ as possible as I conduct myself through Hack Forums. Hopefully these contributions and my carefully written posts and threads show that. Thanks.

Reason:
Hash G. has been a member I would consider a friend for years now. He has been active in groups and helped contribute to many groups I have been in. He has made TONS of userscript and browser extensions for the users of HF to better their experience on the site. He's a great member, which is why he got my nomination.

Reason: I have spent a long time on here since joining, being around 50% online time compared to my join date - during this time I have helped as many users as I can through posts, teamviewer, PM, voice communication and general support. I have donated what I can to others when I can even though I don't have much to give and always help those who need it without a cost.
I try to ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to join in on discussions, not ignoring someone due to their join date or upgrade status - I encourage others to better themselves and I only ask in return they try and pay it forward one day by treating others the same.
I have many new tutorials coming out soon with tools and hardware hacking through to creating AI interfaces and neural nets. I would like the award as I believe I can represent it in the best light possible and it will only make me want to put even more into contributions. I love the forum and love the community and I appreciate what you do on here too Views.
I have caught many scammers who were dealt with offsite which earned the spooky award, and I still continue to do so - I think it's wrong and I encourage others to not stand by and let people get away with it.
I come on Hackforums to learn and share and that's what I will continue to do for as long as I am here - I have only been here a year and a half but in that time have done everything I can to benefit others.
I can't do money/material giveaways unfortunately but I am here to stay and here to share.
Best of luck to all those who are nominated Cheers.

Reason: He is passioned for graphics design, looking at Omni, Minimalist, xadamxk, my own, and many others avatars, you can see that he is good at is as well. Novica have made so much for this forum that we users are not aware of, I happen to know a few things but that is only because I chat with him sometimes. Let's have a look at Hackforum's official avatar gallery, some entire galleries are made by Novica himself. Then not only that, Omni is a webmaster and not a gfx master, so occasionally he asks help from Novica and he gladly helps him out.
Not only that, just like any admin, staff or mentor, he does a lot of work as a mentor that we users does not really notice. So, considering how much he does for this forum, seen and unseen, that is why I nominates him for the award. He does work for Omni, us, and HackForums in general, I never see him ask for things in return, so it is time.
May the best member win!

I had to put up a fight to get some of these members into the poll, so I voted for my favorite. Good luck everyone and don't be disheartened if someone is up by a lot, there is always the chance for an upset.
