Disallow Posting Of "Crack Mes" in The Visual Basic/C# Section

As the thread title says it would be a great idea to remove the posting of Crack Mes in the Visual Basic/C# section, all they do is flood the section up and the point of them has been lost as all they are is basic protection covered up by obfuscation. The section has been flooded by them completely if you take a look you'll notice 10-20 threads of CrackMes within the first two pages. It isn't a Reverse Engineering section it is a coding section.

I agree with this, although people may use it to improve their security, the vast majority of the crackmes are simply obfuscated, and thus the crackme is rendered useless.
I agree. These are getting annoying and the forum shouldn't be flooded with this!

Maybe add a .NET reverse engineering section would be good as i and im sure more people do enjoy having a 'crack' at crack me's but totally banning them is not good imo

There is a site for for crack mes and the VB.NEt/C# section isn't one D:<

It seems we only use that forum for the the second part. I have yet to see someone asking about a site nor a crack-me. Or at least that I remember. Plus then we can post "crack-me"s for other programming languages as well, perhaps a subsection in White Hat Help, or just a rule in the Vb/C# section to post them in the White Hat Help section.

Thank you for your opinion, I'm glad others see the problem with them.

I showed evidence with a screen shot, I normally NEVER complain about a trend, but this trend is just going WAY to far. It's becoming more popular than market place shell booters used to be.

I don't have a problem with the volume of crackme threads here, but I do have a problem if they're pathetic, just a simple IF statement OR a brute-force. I think it's great for legitimate people to test their security (ONCE OR TWICE) and that is it. If a crackme from a user gets cracked, then they should not make any subsequent crackme threads they must accept their security is shit.

I don't wan't crackme applications to be banned, I just think we need them regulated by a person who actually knows his stuff and is extremely proficient in the art of cracking .NET applications. This person also needs to be available a lot more.

lol you seemed to like mine in the past...

anyways at OP, they are getting annoying, thats why i opend my thread that has alternating shit it in different types xD i was tired of if statements...

Nah' they can go to http://www.CrackMes.du if they want to attempt to get it cracked.
(Dec 17, 2011 04:06 AM)Paperbag Wrote:  Why are you complaining about it while you do it too?

It was a troll thread meaning that there are WAY to many :|
I'd say disallow retarded ones and if you're going to make one, KNOW that it's really hard to break into.

OP posted one himself.

My post was deleted, I stated it was a troll thread showing how many stupid crack mes have been posted.
(Dec 17, 2011 10:19 AM)Heinz Wrote:  Then you in yourself are a troll. Why post the previous thread to prove a point when you could have just outright made this one in the first place.

No shit, troll thread is closed and this thread was made. Got the idea to make this thread after I made the troll thread, why do you even give a fuck about it?

Again I'm going to restate: http://www.CrackMes.du
(Dec 17, 2011 11:43 AM)bobolobo Wrote:  I disagree.. It would be the same as disallowing themes because the most of them is the same just with diffrent colors..

No nothing remotely close, themes are snippets/code the crack mes are just spammed obfuscated binaries.
there should def. be a reverse engineering section to foster these kind of threads.
