I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. The OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.

If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.

Thanks,
Stanley

About Me:

I'm Trust. I'm twenty-five years old and I enjoy anything that has to do with digital creativity. That includes music, film, art, video games, and more. In my free time, you can probably catch me spending time with loved ones, chilling at the movie theater, or playing video games. As far as films go, my favorite genres are horror, comedy, and animation with my favorite films of all time being Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971), Halloween (1978), Spirited Away (2001), and Only Yesterday (1991). My favorite video games are Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Telltale's The Walking Dead, Far Cry 3, Halo 2, and Halo: Reach.

I prefer to keep my official position at work under wraps, but I am in customer service as well as healthcare. I greatly enjoy what I do and I love the customers and patients I get to serve every day.

More than anything... I just want to live a life where I'm helping others and building them up in whichever ways I can. I am a Christian, but I don't believe in shoving my beliefs down others' throats. I just want to live a life that pleases God and allows me to love other people while also being an example to those who need it most.

Why I Want to Join Warriors:

As previously mentioned, I believe the entire purpose of my life is to serve and assist others. I am natural leader and am exceptional at considering team feedback while also taking initiative when the situation calls for it. I believe in standing up for what I believe is right, even when it's hard, but without putting others down in the process. I believe Warriors values and my own are incredibly similar.

But that's all talk, my efforts in the community and beyond speak for themselves. I've done countless giveaways and helpful threads on Hack Forums over the years. They've never been a huge monetary value as I was quite literally a teenager with no money when I was doing them, but I always tried to give back as much as I could. I hated $0.10 giveaways for upgraded-only users back in the day as an obvious ploy to gain rep. I made sure my giveaways were accessible to any user, regardless of upgrade status, and were truly as much as I could give.

Here were my contributions:

Spoiler (Click to View)

I'd like to start doing much more for the community again now that I'm much older and have more to give. I believe Warriors, with their resources, (as well as my upcoming group) will help me accomplish that goal more effectively.

Even outside of the community, I try to give back. I've already mentioned how my career is centered around helping others, but I also do so in my free time. I have donated platelets forty times and that number is only going up. I've worked extensively with children that have complex disabilities -- even going as far as traveling across the world to Armenia to participate in a camp specifically designed to create a fun space for children with special needs while also providing respite for family members. I'm currently seeking volunteer opportunities in my city and have participated in trash cleanup efforts as well as help lead a group that assisted the homeless providing them with food, socks, batteries, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other necessities. I even joined the United States Marine Corps at seventeen years old and, although my greatest failure in life is leaving basic training early due to an unaddressed mental health issue, I really did give it my all and would go back to try again if given the opportunity. I also support my family members in whatever way I can, always going above and beyond for them.

I think what best qualifies me to be in the group, however, is how much I hate writing all of this. I very much don't like myself to be in the spotlight. I do all of these things, not for recognition, but solely because they are the right thing to do. There are countless things I've done and I will never tell anyone that I've done them. The only reason I've even written all of this is for the purpose of putting together a high quality application.

Conclusion:

I just want to wrap up with a sincere thank you. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to join the group and I truly believe in the mission of the Warriors. I am really trying to find new ways to impact this community and beyond for the greater good -- I think Warriors can provide resources to help me do so. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions for additional clarification and look forward to hearing whether or not you think I would be a good fit for the group as well. Much love.
