weird partition doing dumb things to my computer?

i downloaded vmware a few days ago and tried to dualboot.. i had to partition my hard disk..

basically, my computer blue screened. and its having difficulty restarting
(WINDOWS 7). so it recommends for fixing or just to start up as normal.

when i recommend for fixing, it does absolutely nothing.
when i start up as normal, it blue screens.

however... i noticed something and i think it just might be the reason for all of this buggyness.

i looked at my disk management and this is what i see:

[Unnamed drive]
C: drive
HP_TOOLS (E:)
RECOVERY (D:)

all are "healthy.. however.. there is one that is completely unnamed.. and i think it might have something to do with me partitioning for the dual boot.

i also looked my disks from the "disk defragmenter"

i see all of my drives
and then instead of having one unnamed... it reads \\?\Volume{5d5f3a8c-d7f8-9450 so on and so forth)

that random drive that i never have is calling all of these ridiculous problems!

please tell me my next step! thank you!

(ps; tried doing a chkdsk and it stops at 9%)

Better yet, why not post your minidump or your STOP error code. We can do more with that. :]
i cant see why you, got VM to dual boot?. And you don't have to partition the drive to run VM.
I have a feeling, you partitioned your real HDD.... You downloaded VMware Workstation (My guess) but haven't used it correctly. You have to install the OS in Workstation, not partition a section of your HDD and install Workstation on that. You kinda fucked the pooch on this one. Also to fix your issue, post the Blue Screen Error code.

To expand on what Zeus said - partitioning for the sake of creating VM instances is kind of ... counterproductive. It's the same thing as partitioning a RAID 5 array. The logic just isn't there.
i said that..

i had to partition my hard drive.

i'm just saying when i tried to dual boot, it messed it up.. i can't run a log or check the blue screen error because it all off too fast.

thanks for atleast the attempt
