Review:
Plot: This one is iffy. The plot wasn't amazing, or anything brand new, but it's also based on history, so they can't get too extreme with it. There weren't any major moments where I had no idea what was going on, things were relatively straightforward, so that took away from some of the excitement. Plot wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst.
Characters: I can't really say the characters were the most well developed. The series took an easy way out, and instead of slowing developing each character, they paused and gave a brief description of the character on first sight. The way the characters were explained wasn't something that I particularly liked; it was kind of like if your friend paused a movie to tell you about a certain characters life.
The main character also was obsessed with women, and refused to hide it. This lust and overall ignorance made it hard to connect with him for some parts of the series, while other times he was very relatable, and a very nice person.
Thoughts: Even though the plot and characters weren't the best, this anime had a certain charm to it. It wasn't the fanservice that made me stick with the series, it was probably the strategy/action, the great comedy, and the romance. As a big romance fanatic, this series satisfied me, but not as much as it could have.
An amazing thing about this series, is the animation quality. The graphics were impressive, and you could tell there was a lot of work put into it. It wasn't rushed, and there was only half of a filler throughout the entire series. The effort here was great.
The biggest flaw, is that so many questions were left unanswered. It really seems like they're going to be making a second season, and there are various hints about that, however, there have been no official announcements about that as of now (it's still a fairly new series).
If a second season comes out to answer the questions, then "Oda Nobuna no Yabō" comes out as a great anime.
I really enjoyed this one, and I recommend it to romance/history/ecchi/action fans.
