So this guy by the name of 'elvy666' decided to scam some guy for $33 BTC. Proper asshole.
I gave him a -3, with this as the description:
Autocorrect (162) Negative (-3) https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4372600
This morning, I wake up to this bullshit:
elvy666 (210) Negative (-3): El kree dalumka skaemer! $25 nor julez payp
He called me a scammer with no proof. I don't care about the rep but I do care about the scammer part.
Is that against the rules? Where can I go from here? Thanks. 😊

If he is calling you a scammer with no scam report then that is rep abuse. If you feel like it violates HF rules, report it to omni.
What is reputation abuse?
Reputation abuse can be very complicated subject matter. Here is a list of the following ways reputation can be viewed as abuse.
• Flaming: Using coarse language to describe or berate a member.
• Reputation as a currency: We do not allowed the buying or selling of reputations.
• Gang Rep: The act of coordination with other members to raise or lower a member’s reputation is not allowed.
• Rep Coercion: Using intimidation, threats, or blackmail to get reps added or removed.
• Rep Requesting: You cannot give hints, tips, or request reputations.
• Scammer Reputation: You're required to leave a link to a Deal Dispute thread you have created to infer someone is a scammer (ie: scammer, scams, chargebacks, scamming).
• Reputation Collusion: Agreeing to participate in reciprocal reputations with a member.

Autocorrect, you called him a scammer without linking your own deal dispute thread that you have made. Your reputation is invalid too.

If you leave him rep calling him a scammer you are required to leave the dispute thread in the rep also. Same goes for him.

You have to link your own deal dispute thread for it to be valid, not others.

You did leave a link, so it's Valid.
He didn't leave a link so it isn't valid. I'd report him for rep abuse.

How have I not known this? Haha It has to be your own dispute thread. I saw many threads about people not linking their own dispute and have gotten repfucked because their rep was invalid. You might want to fix that before the same thing happens to you.

You have the right to link the dispute, but just don't call them a 'Scammer' without linking your own created deal dispute thread.

Exactly, same thing happened to me. I got RF'd awhile ago with over 500+ Rep. So be careful and know the rules.

He will but know that he will investigate your account to make sure you aren't breaking any rules as well.
