Crypters -> OUT OF THE CRYPTOGRAPHY SECTION |

Agree with this a 100%
when I was new to hf and saw the crypters in the cryptography section, i was confused. There should be threads about encrypting/decrypting strings and hashes and such there.

I actually agree with this for the reason that I went to the section initially to see some threads regarding methods to secure data (Through cryptography of course), and most threads were either free crypters, asking for free crypters, or selling them. I think a subsection for crypters may be a good idea.

Just ing this. There is a real lack of new members coming into the cryptography section for any purpose other than for crypters. There are plenty of members willing to teach it but the section is just covered in shit and the good threads are pushed down to the bottom of the page within 2 hours or less due to the mass amount of people spamming the free crypter topics. Most other sections don't allow hacking tools to be in them, why cryptography?

While I do completely agree with you, there is really not anything you can do about it. It is up simply to the forum administrators to add a sub-forum for crypters, which might not happen for the following reasons -
It is the same thing with many other sub-forums believe it or not, all in their own way. It was a good idea for you to create the thread as it may bring this matter to the attention of the staff/admins of the forum. Good luck with your goal of getting the crypters out of the cryptography sub-forum. Have a nice day,

While I can agree with the intent of your suggestion it's also not practical. It would impossible to split threads. And if we did what would be left in the Cryptography section? Then we'd also have to deal with constant incorrectly posted threads to move.
Just not worth it. But maybe I will consider a subforum for a more direct topic. (Aug 7, 2014 09:09 PM)xploD Wrote: Agree with this, just like ebooks not in the ebook bazaar. Exactly, Forums need to be fixed. I agree with this OP 110% support ! But I know this wont be changed. But we can hope...

I've only ever seen 2 threads in my entire time on HackForums asking how crypters work or the cryptography behind them. Most of the people in the cryptography section enjoy making threads e.g. TheDubWubCub although they just disappear within the hour past all of the cryptography threads. It pretty much deters anyone from visiting the cryptography section or making threads in it when nobody ever sees them. I think the activity relating to actual cryptography would increase on this forum if there was actually a place to post it. (Sep 21, 2014 12:03 PM)Royal ! I would like to start off by saying thanks for replying to this thread, The thread splitting wouldn't be that much of an issue due to the fact that it's pretty much constantly new threads or only a select 100 being replied to in that section regarding crypters. Hardly any of the old crypter threads are ever ed up. I'll ask a few of the other cryptogrophers in that forum but I cant really think of any other way that it could be split that will still leave both sections active :/. ![]()

What else would be left there?. So you're telling me it's normal for a program to be able to bypass antiviruses and spread across USB's? What you just said is total bullshit and you know it. I have yet to see a crypter that only encrypts the file. Quote:[*]Crypters do fall under cryptography regardless. Yet no one ever asks about the encryption behind these crypters, because the people who make them don't want other people making them, and the people who want to make them usually are in it for the money instead of something that will actually make sure you get past all the hard parts. Still fully behind this, happy to see omni made a post. If you want to discuss how the hell crypters work, specifically the encryption side, then go for it. Make the thread, try to get people knowledgeable in the field to post on it, and start a great discussion. However, if you want a crypter to crypt your stub so that you can infect kids, and you are wondering why your stub isn't FUD right now, then leave the cryptography section. To people saying that the section might die then, you might be right. There might only be one or two new threads a day talking about network encryption or packet stenography or encryption anonymization. But you know what? I'd rather have a single diamond than 2 thousand worthless plastic ones. Because nobody wants to look at trash, they want to look at the things that matter. You learn a lot more from the single diamond than from a plastic gem anyways. Quote:I'll ask a few of the other cryptographers in that forum but I cant really think of any other way that it could be split that will still leave both sections active :/. Sup Forezza? I think crypto enthusiast is better than cryptographer. But as Forezza said, the same stuff keeps getting repeated. The amount of threads that has said "best crypter?" is insane. I think the best option would be making a subsection in hacking tools called crypters, throwing every single crypter thread in there, and leave the cryptography section to its own ends. Advanced hacking needs cryptography, but nothing about using crypters is advanced. It's a point and shoot tool, and breeds skids like flies. EDIT: Omni, if you make new rules about the crypto section, I would happily report every wrong thread. Because as of right now, I can only watch them clutter the section. EDIT2: Everything about hash cracking would remain in the cryptography section, we only want 99% of the threads about crypters to go. When you gaze into the abyss the abyss too gazes into you. I completely support your suggestion OP. It is relevant suggestions like these that should be implemented to retain the quality of the forum. If this suggestion is indeed implemented, I guess there are going to be lots of members who are going to continue posting crypters in the cryptography section so they'll need to be moderated strictly. I'd be happy to report such threads if that helps ie, if this gets implemented. It'd be awesome if Omni could pull this out! Good luck!
