Your client would reject the whole blockchain from block 150k onwards. (Feb 3, 2015 06:02 PM)Abraham Lincoln Wrote: Dark Gravity Wave, http://wiki.darkcoin.eu/wiki/Dark_Gravity_WaveFantastic. Due to a goofup in our code, there was a bug in the that caused the clients to have some issues.
We've fixed the bug and will be releasing the downloads for Windows and OSX very soon. If you compiled the client yourself since this update, you will have to recompile it in order for it to work. We wanted to ensure we could build both Windows and OS X successfully before releasing any major changes. (Feb 4, 2015 07:21 AM)NiktoKan Wrote: The supply of OMC/Day will increase or decrease? It will continue to follow its targets. 1 block every 3 minutes, (with variation depending on the luck of the miners) and 33.425 coins per block until the next halving at 200020 blocks. I think so anyway. I'm not great with this sort of thing. Nobody will lose OMC if they don't update in time. As long as they back up their wallet, all they have to do is download the update, and redownload the blockchain. If it comes to that, I'll be sure to provide instructions to ensure everyone knows how to fix it. (Feb 4, 2015 07:55 AM)Moen Wrote: Just wondering.. Is there going to be more block reward halfing? At block 200020. More info is available on the Omnicoin Technical Specifications wiki page. This will stay constant regardless of updates. Thanks for announcing this crypto, I am happy we finally made this change. Hopefully we can get a countdown timer sorted and make sure everything goes smoothly through the changeover. After this change improves the targeting and patches the time warp bug, we can expand more securely.
Windows and OSX wallets have been released. You can grab them on the Download page:
