Nothing bad about Honda. I had a Honda CRX SI, H2B Engine only pushing 8 PSI and it ran around 11 on a 1/4 mile.

Also, I just recently got a Nissan GTR :) , enjoy. still waiting for paper work to be done and my troop commander to sign the paper since I'm in the military.

I drive a 1999 Ford Explorer sport.
Shit can beat all those supercars.

New cars aren't worth it unless it is something extremely special that you know is gonna be worth double then what it is now in the future. I abuse these my vehicles and drive them till there is nothing left to resell.

If I was in the market for a car I would pick between these two.

A few months ago there was one in the perfect combo that matches my truck that was going for $60K and I was so tempted to buy it but it was on the other side of the country and as a well off college student I just don't have the time to enjoy or tinker with it. Maybe when I graduate i'll buy one. 🤭

You were able to afford a GT-R through funds earned via the military? ❓

You can get a GTR for under 50K if you look hard enough and know how to haggle/talk. I'm sure he is financing it but any decent paying job can net you a fancy driving machine as long as you don't have any dependents, aka no teen pregnancy and don't marry a gold digger. 🤗

I understand that. I wish I would have purchased a GT-R instead of my Audi. I never heard of someone being able to afford a GT-R by being in the military. I am assuming he is young and a low rank which makes me question it even more.

If he is young he could have went to college and then went to OTS to become a 2nd LT and take it from there. The military requires you to have good credit so i'm sure his finances are in order and he was able to get the best interest rate. If he put lets say 8K-10K down and financed 50K then with the payment and insurance he would be paying $1000/month for 72 months which seems fair for a car of that caliber. I'm assuming he is also living on base so his housing is free, food cost is next to nothing and his only other bill is his cell phone.

I don't see the sparkle of the GTR. Sure they COULD become monsters but stock ones don't impress me and the interior is kinda tacky.

vouch.. plus not being able to actually control my drivetrain is a negative to me :(
I like being able to drive my car without it driving itself.
the GTR are nice, but they just feel so plastic.

I'm not a doctor, will never be a doctor, take what I say with a grain of salt and look it up for yourself.

I work within the world of finance. There is no way any bank/credit union would finance a $50,000 loan for a 2nd lieutenant. Their debt to income would be so out of whack. It does not seem feasible. Also, shelling out for $1k would not be smart nor easy to maintain for someone in the military. Believe it or not, food is quite expensive. Maybe not on base but who eats on base constantly? Whatever the case, I hope all goes well for him.

GT-R's are fun, fast, and cheap. The interior is basic. Lets not forget it is a Nissan after all. Have you driven a GT-R on a track? It is intense and an experience I recommend everyone give a shot.

I own a 2005 Mustang GT. Pretty basic sports car. Nothing like the CTS-V or the STI but if I'd have to choose one of yours, that'd be the toughest decision of my life, but probably STI because that TURBOO!
