Future IPO's

What I can see is a small tech company going public with some sort of Crypto IPO. Whether companies from there transition or not idk but I don't see it being a large company making the first move.

I mean besides the publicani in like anicent roman times, the most modern IPO is 400 years old.

Over 400.

I've had this same thought, I think it may very well happen over like a 10-20 year period.

I am backing a bunch of smaller coins I believe in and spreading my eggs evenly. I don't want to miss an opportunity, shall that day come.

Seems like Medici (division of Overstock.com) is trying to do just that.
I thought about this a week ago it could become possible.
As to the one who ask what happens when btc dominance falls less that 50% I think nothing will happen
Always look at the bight side.
I can see this happening at some point it would probably make sense especially if crypto becomes the future of currencies.

However stock markets have been around forever and people hate change!

I found an excellent info-graphic that illustrates how this would work.

Haha funny you say that. I work on a railway and it's so backwards there we still using fax machines so that phone is an upgrade!

Talk about working in the 90s

We slowly moving into virtual world but we waste so much paper it's unreal.

Been trying to convince my boss to pay me in bitcoin, no luck so far

Broken link?

If this happens it's going to be a great day for cryptocurrencies and everyone involved.

It could be very difficult at a tax point of view, especially when some of the holders are anonymous.
I think something like this will happen eventually. I believe cryptos will eventually be all we use. No cash, all your money will be in cryptocurrency. It won't be bitcoin though IMO. The US would want to regulate it and it'd have to be something else. That'd be kinda disappointing cause that kind of defeats the purpose of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. Nonetheless, it won't be for quite a while, that's for sure.
For sale message me
Still far away but closer to your dream coming true at some point. Probably with Radix!
I had purchased an IPO in the past and quickly sold it when it got listed. The profits were not that huge, but yes, earning a few extra bucks never hurts. I don't intend to hold such stocks (unless they are going to perform well). Lastly, assuming Omni's message, if IBM or any other tech goliath does that, then definitely it's worth holding.
P.S.: It's not that easy to get your hands on IPO these days. xD

I think the idea is implemented with existing stocks too and traded on crypto exchanges ..just like synthetic assets

Just like how Tether claims USDT is backed by real USD reserves..the wrapped/tokenized stock can be backed by real shares in a custody of a reputed brokerage

There are already some exchanges that are trading real work stock (my be CFDs and synthetic assets)
