OP I suggest if you have say 25 gigs dedicated to kali you go ahead and install synaptic it'll make your life easier, from there there is a metapackage "kali-full" that will install all the tools you actually need to be productive. Also I suggest you install libreoffice gotta write up reports somehow right?

I've read that there are some compatibility issues that lead to the document's formatting getting messed up when opened in word on a windows or mac computer. Last thing you want is to send a report for a job and have it turn up looking like a 10 year old prepared it Oh God there are some odd balled issues, I seen then mostly formatting, at work we use MS Office for our reports, usually I don't have too many issues when say copying and pasting over to libre then going to docx issues arise when I input into a custom table "what was used" I usually hold off on that part until I am in MS Office. Also any macro's shit like that definitely in MS Office.
OP your question cannot be answered and missing a lot of details.
hacking is not only installing kali which all kids do and installing 2 or 3 well known tools and you become a "hacker". each task you want to achieve requires a different tool(s) and might not require any at all. first i would suggest learning linux, windows (yes windows) and some programming languages (python and vb.net/c#) and networking. why vb.net/c# ? sometimes you might want to code a windows application that works on dotnet framework 2.0 (all windows machines) and that will surely help you a lot achieving your goals. at the end i think everyone is trying to mess with windows machines no? i wish this helps you out somehow and give us some details next time, after you learn all these of course :) learn first, hack later (or just be a script kiddie) "The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear." I would recommend you start reading some beginner guides for beginner hacking and Kali. You're like starting way ahead without knowing the basics.
