10 edits in the same day in 10 hours, boom!! No longer editing, hence new threads(Cross posting) -> More work for staff, deleting and warning people.
Hope this limit doesn't apply to Original Post(OP).

It was upped to 15.
Bear in mind that the plugin just became active on HF recently. It is likely the setting values will be adjusted as time moves forward. Also keep in mind that just a couple of hours ago the functionality was added to have different limits based on your usergroup. So with time I am sure upgraded accounts will have different permissions than normal members.
Give Omni time to figure out the best settings.
Quote:Your improvments to the existing plugin seem really nice Xerotic, any plans to contribute back to the upstream? I know that Starpaul would certainly appreciate it.
He certainly has my permission to do so. When we use an existing plugin and alter it for the better I think it's fine to share the changes. What I don't do any longer is share any original work done on HF.
Quote:Not unlimited, but just do something like so:
Normal Members: 15
L33T Members: 20
UB3R Members: 25
R3KT Members: 30
Actually more like:
Not unlimited, but just do something like so:
Normal Members: 3
3p1c Members: 5
L33T Members: 10
UB3R Members: 20
R3KT Members: 25
I think that's more realistic and I can see that being based on a 30 day prune cycle. And you forgot 3p1c.
And the cooldown period would likely be 0 for Ub3r and/or 3p1c.

I don't really like the idea of this, I can understand for data-management purposes, but what about people who have long-term sales threads?
Well this will be a helpful plug in. I've seen in the past all the forms of abuse that can take place, may it be potential scammers editing their old posts to suit their new name before making deals to rule breaking and everything in between.
Good job on making the plug in. It's nice to see HF thrive after a decade with new implementations.

So you have sales threads which you edit the original post more than 10 times in 60 days?
Awesome! Looks like a very helpful thing you guys have come up with. I hope this works really well and helps stop edit abusing and a lot of other negative things I'm sure.
Thank you Omni and Xerotic for doing this!

I like this change as it still allows users to change and improve their own content but still protects the site from removed content. Well done!
I'd like to also ask is it possible to somehow make this not affect editing posts in personal group subforums? Within Appraisers we keep track of our appraisals from the Appraisals & Pricing section and this would conflict with our ability to continue to update our threads to include recent appraisals. Although I do believe we could simply make new posts to include them, I'd prefer to keep it clean and all in one post so its readable and simple to manage.
Just curious about your thoughts on this.

For now I have to decline this. Likely alterations for upgraded groups will suffice.
Rip. Hit the 15 edits in one day.
I kinda forgot this was a thing and kept updating the amount I had left (CE Thread)

Which post?
Not sure if already mentioned, but it would be nice to have a counter or something letting you know how many edits you've made/have left.

You updated your currency available constantly.
You'll have to figure out a better way because that's not going to work anymore.

Rip my inbox then. No one ever reads the last post for some odd reason.
