Post Editing Changes

Why do you need to have exact amount available? Why can't you just say you do trades up to X amount and if you're short then you let them know when they contact you.

Or use an image you control and embed it with your changes.

   Actually more like:

Not unlimited, but just do something like so:

   Normal Members: 3
   3p1c Members: 5
   L33T Members: 10
   UB3R Members: 20
   R3KT Members: 25

I think that's more realistic and I can see that being based on a 30 day prune cycle.  And you forgot 3p1c.

And the cooldown period would likely be 0 for Ub3r and/or 3p1c.

Hmm, I guess giving 3P1C members an advantage is a nice idea. I was thinking make give 3p1c a cooldown over something like 3s instead of additional editing ability as it's not a primary upgrade (and 0 for 3P1C/UB3R), but I guess that works too!

I assume Staff/Mentors will be immune from the whole editing thing, as they are generally trusted guys and there aren't too many of them, so logging all their edits wouldn't be too bothersome?
A bit of an annoyance on this:

Whenever I quick edit, it doesn’t give me the popup saying that I can’t edit my post for so and so seconds like full edit does. Not sure if this is intentional but I often edit my post on mobile and add some things that I forgot, but when I click save they don’t go through because I can’t edit yet, and I lose everything I just typed.

I think it gives a red warning after the edit has been completed. Pop-up, in javascript. You may not have seen that - But it sounds like you have.
Maybe a friendly warning can be added in before, but I think the way the plugin works is that it sends the POST request and then the plugin validates whether or not they can edit right now. So this would require a javascript alternative for it (the warning afterwards (pop-up) is in javascript), maybe something can be fixed up by Xerotic and Omni.

It does give a warning; however, whenever you edit in Full Edit, it will give you a warning and keep your content until it’s eligible to be edited. In quick edit, it erases any edits you tried to make, thus making you retype it.

It’s small, but I do use HF mobile A LOT. It wouldn’t be that annoying on my PC.

Nonetheless, since we’re moving into a more mobile friendly environment, I figured I may as well report it as I’m sure other mobile users will experience it as well.

Great addition in my opinion!

I kinda find this feature to become annoying unfortunately. The past days whenever I post something and I see that something's wrong with my post which makes me want to quickly edit it, I must wait 30 seconds. These 30 seconds are a lot when your post is really important in a thread in which people are active. I honestly don't see what value this 30 second limit would add to the forum.

Still not sure how someone can abuse editing by having a 30 second limit, anyone mind telling?
Plugin looks useless to me.

This is the only part of the new features that I am not a fan of. I make mistakes and like to edit and correct my mistakes but I hate the fact that I have to sit there for 30 seconds to make the fix when in the past I could quickly fix the mistake and leave in the span of 5-10 seconds.

+1 for this. I had to edit my post quickly because I didn't provide enough context to my post (it was lounge tho, nothing special) but it was a bit weird having to wait 30 seconds. I don't think 30 seconds wait time before editing post is a necessary feature.

I do think 10 edits per 60 days is a nicely added feature that will hopefully stop thread edit abuse. 🤝
This has made me realize how much I edit my posts, maybe I should read them carefully before I post them.

This encourages people to read what they have typed instead of just pressing the reply button whenever they're done, but it
becomes annoying when you need to actually correct a bad typo in an active conversation, not a big deal though.
I changed the Time Between Edits setting to 10 seconds from 30 seconds.

Thank you, great choice in my opinion.

Time to edit my posts then 🤝
Good idea, but wouldn't it be better limiting the amount of edits per day, say 1-2 edits per day as well?

Yeahhhh no. That's a great way to piss people offer, especially those who post a lot.
