Another automation of our advertising system here on HF. Previously I manually accepted orders and did the banners. In an effort to add efficiency it's now automated (mostly).
The header ad (300x100) is normally our most popular and often sold out so I have decided to change it from 2 static banners to 4 rotating banners. Previously it was $200 per week and I have reduced the price to $150 per week.
These are all the positions:
Header Ad $150 per week 300x100 (4 rotating positions, 2 at a time displayed)
Thread Ad $50 per week 468x60 (1 static position)
Footer Ad (small) $25 per month 88x31 (12 static positions)
Footer Ad (large) $60 per week 728x90px (1 static position)
Ads are first created and then I'm notified and I approve/deny the ad. If approved you'll get a PM with the payment link.
You may start an order here by clicking "Create Ad":

FYI, currently there is no statistics and I recommend you use a link like goo.gl which can provide you stats.
Any questions?
Interesting new feature! This is great! Probably gives you more time.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
Nice addition!
This will be quite useful.
Great to see more improvements, automation is always good when done right and saves a lot of time and hassle.
Thanks

Well, since I did it all manually I wasn't perfect with placing the banners in a timely manner or removing them too. Once I had it up for an extra 2 weeks for the member before I noticed it expired.
This is better where it's all tracked and easy to operate. It will save me some time but mainly just add efficiency.
I also hope to sell all 4 header ad positions.
Say someone didn't want to simply advertise, but perhaps pull a joke?
Couldn't they simply purchase a banner spot and advertise whatever they desire, obviously you will be able to see who purchased it and punish them but they could put some very obscene images which would stay up until noticed.
Maybe a report banner feature?

Ads are approved before you can even pay.

All images/links must be approved by Omniscient before they appear as an HF advertisement.

That is the "mostly" part. You submit an image/link and Omni will receive a notice to approve/deny. If he approves it then you can purchase the ad space for that image/link combination as many times as you would like in the future.

Heads up, https://goo.gl is partially discontinued with a full closure in March 2019. https://bitly.com would be the better choice.
Will it be updated to show how many spots are currently open before submitting an ad for approval or will it be added Into a que if all the spots are taken?
Just curious, if there is a way like a PM after submitting a request, could allow the potential buyer to see the current queue and then decide if they want to go through with it? Maybe an extra step between submitting for approval -> buyer is shown current queue?
Could allow sellers to have an insight in when to expect more traffic from beforehand. Just a thought.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
Do upgraded users see these banners? Or is it just unregistered users?

Nope. Only non-upgraded members including unregistered members (visitors).
