A Couple of Questions about Thread Edits

I am struggling on until I can afford Vendor and the thread edit limit has shot me in the foot again. I gave out a load of vouch copies of Honest Cracking yesterday and I can't add my vouches to the thread. My questions are these:

Am I allowed to make a new thread?
When I make a new thread (if allowed) am I allowed to use the vouches from the initial thread if I include initial thread link?

Yes you are allowed to make a new thread, PROVIDED that the old thread is locked and no longer used. You can NOT post vouches from your old thread on the new thread.
That being said though, I'd say it's better to just wait until you can edit your thread again.

On a seperate note, I regularly get PM's from members confused about the edit limit, not knowing when they can edit again. Maybe it would be a good idea to add a feature that shows members how much time is left before they can edit a thread again?

My tip when it comes to adding vouches is to wait until you have a lot of them, don't add them 1 by 1, instead edit thread and copy it to a notepad without saving the thread and just gradually build up the vouches on the pad and drop them in with a single edit!
I believe you can only include the thread link in the new thread and not the vouches itself since they're technically not tied to the new thread even though it's the same product

NO! All vouches must now be from Contracted Customers only. I will close accounts that violate the policy. This shit is all being done to get rid of fake vouches.

Case in point: My sig

Glad that you're doing this, needs to be done to get rid of fake vouches.

If i'm correct, buy a sticky or thread tag, should give you extra edits for that period of time.

I have a question for u boss. I have some contracts that werent done throught threadID, they were just normal contracts without any additional stuff - for example this one and user left vouch in my thread without showing Contracted customer. What should I do with it ?

Thanks 🤝

Sadly it would count as invalid vouch

Oh, I never even realised that we got edits again after X amount of time. A countdown would be awesome too because it sort of just sprung up on me when I went to add the vouches lol.

Good call, man. Thanks.

Damn. I'll just go for a sticky or wait it out. I am wanting Vendor anyway.

I just thought because it was the same product people were vouching. Thanks for answering my question though. I'm not complaining in any way and love the fact we're not going to see 343205436 buddy vouches on threads any more.

Quote:2. All vouches in threads must be related to a Contract and from a verified "Contracted Customer".

Which means that if the contract isn't tied to your thread, you can't use it. It's a pretty simple concept. User won't have that contracted customer in their reply because it isn't connected to that thread directly. It does wonders to prevent abuse.  🤩

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.

Peace out!

Yeah, I see it's working well and it's a refreshing change to the Marketplace.

If you have switched threads for the same product, and all contracted customers on the previous thread had left good ratings for the same product you are selling.

Is it fine to link your vouches directly to the contract in which the transaction happened for the previous thread? I know this is to get rid of fake vouches, in which case linking directly to the contract would be a good alternative?

I am not meaning that people show "vouches" with B-rating for unrelated sales, but specific to the product or service that is being sold in the thread.

I am asking out of curiosity, this is obviously not effecting me, I am not a seller here and never will be. I am mainly a consumer, and just curious of the rules regarding this.

My apologies if this question is previously answered or "stupid".

also if you ask me- it's counter productive showing "vouches" in their thread. It takes away from the sales thread in my opinion and interested buyers can view your market profile to see other members who purchased. Or the replies of course.

Ah, that's a good question, man. I doubt it though.

Yes I know, but i'm asking this - how can i prevent this from happening if i wasn't the contract initiator so i wasnt able to put TID in contract? Report a post ? Reject contract and start new one ?

Last thing i wanna get closed, so i'm looking forward to your response

Thanks 🤝
