Personal preference is I dislike social media logins.

However, if I would benefit the SEO and activity of the forum, I wouldn't be against it.

I mean I guess if people really want to sign in using their social media, it is a good implementation, but damn.. that is a huge sacrifice and breach of privacy and security.

I could see this being a great feature for new comers. I personally wouldn’t use it but can see a good benefit for making account creation much easier and faster for new members.

For this kind of forums I wouldn't use my social media but some new users (mostly buyers) could create an account easier and it could be a great feature.

Google is nice for the peace of mind in terms of security; but, I've been here long enough to trust the security of the custom login.

Not something I do myself usually, normally ill just make an account on site.

But in regards to new users coming to the website this is a nice quick sign up process, and potentially a good way to target Facebook users to join up if the signed up users post about the forum.

I agree. Part of polling members was to just ask them how they join sites. If we add an option it would likely be Google Login and see how well it's received before consider FB Login.

I think if we can lower barriers to entry (registration process) we could get more members involved with HF.
