Hey so I made a deal with someone and they went ghost on me. Was wondering how do I go about charging back via paypal f&f. I don’t want to call my bank and dispute it that way I want to just settle it through paypal.
Charging back a scammer f&f? |

well paypal will be reluctant to help you as you abused the f&f option. making payments through f&f is stupid. it's against their policy.

A shit ton of my people have gotten chargebacked on this site even though it was sent through f&f. Someones gotta know on here. You can still chargeback on f&f saying it was an "unauthorized transaction", usually you had to use a VPN to make the transaction though. Explain the situation and they will make an exception if your PayPal account is aged and in good standing without any flags. doesnt work i called 5 times and tried that nothing happened even claimed i got hacked/ratted they didnt care didnt bother trying again because $120 not worth my time (Jul 16, 2019 06:27 PM)Mac Wrote: doesnt work As I said, your account standing will come in play here. I have a legit business PayPal and have had it for over 12 years now, with clean record. I hope you will be more cautious from now on.
Call them and say the following:
Hello, I was dealing with an online vendor in attempts to buy xxxxxxxx. We reached an agreement on price, but the vendor insisted that I needed to send the payment as Friends and Family or else I'd have to wait an additional 2 weeks for shipping. I agreed to these terms and sent the money. Upon sending the money, the vendor went no contact. He stopped replying to me on site and through email, and blocked me on the instant messenger that we were using. I attempt to file a dispute on the payment, only to find out that I can not dispute Friends and Family payments. This appears to have been the vendors plan all along, trick me into sending a payment as Friends and Family only to disappear knowing I can't dispute it. I'd prefer to not have to go through my bank to chargeback the funds, as it makes it harder on everyone. My money was stolen from me on the PayPal platform, can PayPal help me recover stolen funds? Emails work too, but phone calls are faster and have a higher success rate. If a PayPal employee refuses to help you, thank them for their time and call back. Repeat until you find an employee that will help. (Jul 17, 2019 09:53 AM)SUI-3183372 Wrote: Call them and say the following: That's a nice and helpful piece of information .
