I would say only the username for platforms such as IG and Twitter as it's just easier that way.

However for platforms like Facebook, you can't really enter in a username as Facebook doesn't use usernames, and instead they use full profile URL's.

Overall though, usernames would be the way to go.
Just easier and cleaner. Also less information.

You do have a username on facebook, it's the same as having a YT/IG url, it's like facebook.com/"username" and it takes you to your profile and you can edit that name too in account settings

Right. It's not perfect to manage social profiles because the same website will have multiple variants of profile URLs 🤮 Here is an example: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6180214?hl=en

So the awful fun part was figuring out the most used profile link for each of the contact sites we added.

Could just make people choose between "custom YT url" or just default and if it's default then take the ID that is given and retrieve the username and tie it to the ID on-site or something? Idk if that's too much for the site to be doing

When you add your profile social media links you just should test them to make sure they are correct. I have mine listed now. Only took me a minute and now my profile looks dope.

I'm not sure if there is a rule against it however I'm pretty sure there's not, but would you guys consider adding kik as a link-able social media option?

Reason being is because a good amount of people still use kik for deals just as they would use Discord. Anyone can message anyone, however you have to accept their chat before they even can see if you've read their message or not. Just another very easy, and fast way of getting in contact with someone.
