Interview Tips?

I have an interview tomorrow at the front office of my company. It’s my second interview. I had an interview with the manager a couple of days ago. Tomorrow at noon, I have an interview with the corporate manager 😳

I feel like this position may be a little too out of my league. But I’d love the challenge. I originally applied looking for something part time close to home. I didn’t realize that it was a pretty large company that owns dozens of complexes. The position that’s open is for Leasing Manager. I really have no management experience, but she kept telling me that she loved my resume and I’m exactly what they’re looking for.

I worked as a “manager” for my dads company a few years ago. But it wasn’t too much work. Just setting up appointments accordingly, scheduling the workers, and managing the digital marketing. I’ve never had management experience for a company like this.

I’ve never been this nervous for an interview lol. I’m NOT good at hiding when I’m nervous. And I’d hate for them to see that considering me for a management position. Like I said, I’d love this challenge. And even better that it’s where I live. Any tips would be appreciated :)
Speak clearly and be assertive while still keeping in mind what your goal is.
Fake it till you make it.
It should seem as it's natural for you to manage people and express yourself.

Exactly. I have no clue how to fake that.

How many interviews have you attended? (in total)

Around 7-8 total.
Over promise & over deliver.

If its in person, it should be a given/easier as you can overcome any objection they bring up while looking them in the eyes with a smile :)
I buy Amazon Gift Cards & Crypto for CashApp. PM me if you're selling

If it's a big company like OP stated, then I would avoid overdoing it. They've probably interviewed enough people to recognize blatant liars.

never said anything about lying lol

An ethical person will always deliver their promises. The fact you think it was otherwise shows something but I would rather not get off topic

The best bet, is always to just contact the CEO/founder tho, that is normally the more competent person over managers.

Begin with the end in mind.

Unsure on OP situation but for me to work for someone, I would go for equity, that way in a way im working for myself too

Granted, I am past this stage in my life. I am mostly a business owner & investor. So my advice is probably a different view

What I wanted to say is that a person with high promises in an interview looks the same way as someone saying "no-risk investment" to an investor. You should understand what I mean now, I guess?
STAR.

And since you’re doing a second interview with a high ranking person, as soon as you sit down, thank them for taking time to interview you.

Your view is assuming the person is a liar, without evidence. A competent/honest person would dig deeper to make sure the person can deliver by asking questions & of course fact checking.

Which is why I mentioned being ready to overcome their objections. Tho the best way is to present so there is no objection and its a no brainier.

Which doesn't make it "high promises" it makes it honest promises.

There is always risks, but making it low risk and high reward would be the way to go.

What is STAR?

It’s an interview technique.
Situation
Task
Action
Result

I understand what you’re saying. Technically we all promise to over deliver in all interviews.

I’m thinking of what situations or scenarios they might ask me.
My biggest things would to be relax and make sure you don't show signs of being nervous, not because their bad, but because it may make your answers not normal. Before you walk into the room take some deep breaths and tell yourself that you got this. That's what I do, and I can say it makes me feel way better.
